Santa Rita is surrounded by countless ponds and marshes and the duck population and is very abundant and includes 12 species of Ducks; Red Shoveler, Teal (Silver, Ring, Speckled, and Brazilian), Brown and White Cheeked Pintail, Fulvous and White-Fronted Whistling Duck, Chilean Widgeon, and the country’s trophy duck, the Rosy Bill Polchard.
- Duck fields: 10-minute to a 45-minute drive from the lodge.
- There are perdiz fields: 15 to 20 minute from the lodge.
- There are doves too: 15 to 20 minute drive (for a 2-hour shoot of approximately before the afternoon duck hunt.)
- There is also the possibility for a pigeon outing too: one per group.
