Los Crestones was recently relocated to a sophisticated and luxurious compound situated on 60hectares of preserved natural woodlands along the Salado River. The grand estancia features wine galleries with superlative views, a gourmet restaurant, spa and pool facilities. There are 13 elegantly appointed bedrooms—each with private bath, which accommodate a maximum of 10 hunters and 3 non-hunters.
In the evening, meals and fine Argentine wines will be enjoyed in the Main House dining room.
At Los Crestones, guests will enjoy remarkable mixed-bag hunting supported by a great staff and hard-working dogs, all within a short drive of the international airport. Add a couple days to your next shooting holiday, business trip, or family vacation to Argentina—you won’t be disappointed.
At Los Crestones, we take your dining experience seriously, and we strive to make every meal as wonderful as every trip to the field.
Our chefs personally prepare all of your meals, for every day of your stay. For breakfast, we prepare eggs, cooked any one of six ways, as well as waffles, French toast, porridge or cereal. Our field lunches have become a legendary part of the Los Crestones experience, featuring a wide variety of meats, salads, dove breats, a fillet of our tender beef, ribs and much more. The evening meal is a celebration of both fine dining and Buenos Aires' heritage. Experience authentic Argentinian steaks, cooked to your liking by our in house chefs, or if you're feeling adventurous, try one of the many specialities on offer, such as Grilled Trout.
A special note about our wines. Great wines are part of the Argentine culture, and part of our daily lives. We have partnered with several unique and very special vineyards, and they provide us with wines that join the foods we serve, in harmony. Our cellars are extensive, and we are happy to introduce you to our Malbec wines, which are known throughout the world as an Argentine treasure. Other spirits are also available, but of course we ask you to enjoy in moderation.
Reaching Los Crestones is easy. The new lodge is a convenient two-hour drive from Buenos Aires, via route N2 (104 miles) followed by about 5 miles on good roads through stunning Argentine countryside. Helicopter access from the airport to the lodge can also be arranged.
In the mornings, you will be hunting ducks over decoys in nearby ponds.
Guests will depart the lodge in the dark, but after a hearty breakfast, with everything from waffles to eggs benedict made to order.
Hunters are placed in double blinds, or large sunken “buckets” of the style of an individual pit blind, or on platform-pallet blinds.
Each pair of hunters will be accompanied by a guide with a Retriever, making sure that 100% of birds are collected each hunt.
Most days hunters will return to the lodge for lunch and a siesta before heading out again.
Some afternoons, you will be shooting Perdiz in the rich pastures near the lodge.
Our experienced guides will work with their team of pointers to provide you with the best possible sport. We will use mostly German Shorthairs & English Pointers. But we might use Vizlas and Brittany’s as well.
Other afternoons, you will enjoy more duck hunting or when available Wild Pigeon Hunting over decoys or low volume dove shooting.
